Kuchar finishes strong at The Players Championship

Matt Kuchar carded six birdies en route to a closing 68 (-4) and 14th place finish at The Players Championship at the Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. Kuchar, who fired rounds of 72-72-73-68, finished the tournament at 3-under and earned $147,250. It was his fifth Top 25 finish in only 11 starts this year.
With the solid performance, Kuchar moved up five places to 59th on the FedEx Cup points list. He currently ranks 62nd on the PGA Tour money list with $629,555 in winnings in 2009.
Kuchar will take off next week’s Valero Texas Open before returning to action at the EDS Byron Nelson Championship in Irving, Texas, May 21-24.
