Matt Kuchar will tee off this week at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, one of the PGA Tour's unique events in which PGA Tour Professionals are paired with celebrity amateur players.
This year, Kuchar is paired with David Dorman, former chairman and chief executive officer of AT&T. Dorman now serves on the board of Motorola, becoming the non-executive chairman on May 5, 2008. Like Kuchar, Dorman is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology.
The AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am will be Kuchar's fourth event of the 2009 season. He is coming off a strong finish at the FBR Open, where he tied for 6th. Kuchar's best career finish at the AT&T Pro-Am was a tie for 6th place in 2007. Last season, he finished tied for 34th.
Kuchar and Dorman will tee off alongside Tour Pro Charles Warren and his amateur partner, Frank Herringer, Director of the Charles Schwab Corporation at 9:20 a.m. PT at Pebble Beach Golf Links.
