Kuchar Bests Anthony Kim at Accenture Match Play Championship

Matt Kuchar beat Anthony Kim 3&2 in the first round of play at the World Golf Championship-Accenture Match Play Championship at the Ritz Carlton Golf Club (Dove Mountain) in Marana, AZ. Kuchar won the 5th and 7th holes to take a 2 up lead heading to the back nine. After a birdie by Kim on the 12th to reduce the lead to 1 up, Kuchar came back to win the 13th and then closed out the match winning the 16th hole.
Kuchar now advances to the second round where he will play Jeev Milkha Singh who beat Padraig Harrington, the 2nd seed in the Bobby Jones bracket. Tee times will be announced later today.
