Singh Stops Kuchar's Match Play Bid

Jeev Milkha Singh defeated Matt Kuchar 1 up to advance to the quarterfinals of the World Golf Championship-Accenture Match Play Championship. Kuchar took a 1 up lead after the first hole, but Singh fought back with wins at 4,8,9 and 13 to take a 3 up lead. Kuchar then birdied consecutive holes at 14 and 15 to get the match to within one with three holes remaining. Unfortunately, Singh held on halving the three final holes to advance.
Kuchar is scheduled to appear next week at the Waste Management Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale in Scottsdale, AZ.
