Kuchar Misses Cut at U.S. Open

Matt Kuchar missed only his fourth cut of the season at the U.S. Open in Farmington N.Y. over the weekend. Kuchar shot 8-over par 147 (71-77) through the first two rounds under wet conditions at Bethpage Black.

The U.S. Open was Kuchar’s first missed cut in five events since the Quail Hollow Championship in early May.

Kuchar has played in 15 events in 2009, earning $916,715 in winnings, including six top-25 finishes and a tie for fifth at the Memorial in early June. He currently sits in 44th place in the PGA’s FedEx Cup standings with 533 points.

Kuchar is scheduled to appear next at The Open Championship at Turnberry Resort in Scotland, UK July 16-19.
