After rain postponed the second round of play at the John Deere Classic, Matt Kuchar carded a two round total of 133 (71-68) to make the cut. However, the new cut policy that was implemented at the beginning of the season was in effect and due to the weather delays, Kuchar did not play the weekend.
Kuchar, who was credited with a made cut (MDF) and a 66th place finish, picked up $8,428 in winnings.
Matt Kuchar will now compete in this week’s British Open played at Turnberry Resort in Scotland, U.K. Kuchar looks to continue his outstanding play in 2009, which includes six Top 30 finishes in 14 PGA Tour events and $925,143 in earnings. Kuchar currently ranks 54th on the FedEx Cup points list.
