Coming into the third major championship of the year, Matt Kuchar looks to continue his hot streak this week in the 2009 British Open at the renowned Turnberry Resort in Scotland. Kuchar has made the cut in five of his last six tournaments, including a fifth place showing at the Memorial last month.
This week will mark the fifth appearance at the Open for Kuchar, including each of the last three years.
This is the forth time that Turnberry has hosted the event. The latest came in 1994, where Nick Price won his first British Open title.
Kuchar, who has made the cut in 12 of 16 events in 2009 and has six Top 25 finishes, ranks 60th on the PGA Tour Money List with $925,143. Kuchar also remains in the hunt for the FedEx Cup, currently sitting in 54th place.
At the British Open, Kuchar will be paired with Damien Mcgrane and Tim Stewart. The trio will tee off at 6:41 am EDT on Thursday and again at 1:30 am EDT on Friday.
