Kuchar Shoots Opening-Round 71 at the Ginn sur Mer Classic

Matt Kuchar shot 1-under par 71 at the Ginn Sur Mer Classic Thursday in Pam Co. At press time he sat six shots behind the leader, Michael Letzig, who carded 7-under par 65 on the day.
Kuchar began his day on the 10th tee and had a slow start with a bogey at the opening hole. He quickly rebounded by shooting even-par on five consecutive holes, before he birdied sixteen to bring him back to him back to even. Kuchar opened the front nine with a birdie on the long par five. After shooting even-par on the next five holes, Kuchar had a brief hiccup with a bogey on seven. He quickly rebounded with a birdie on nine to finish his day at 1-under par 71.
Kuchar is scheduled to tee off Friday afternoon at 12:20 pm ET.
