Matt Kuchar carded a final round 2-over par 74 in the final round of the Ginn Sur Mer Classic to finish tied for 54th.
After a strong opening round 71 and second-day 75, Kuchar played well over the weekend, but it wasn't enough to record a Top-25 finish.
In round three, Kuchar began the day with a birdie on the par-five first hole. After giving it back with a bogey on three, had an up and down rest of the afternoon, exchanging birdies and bogeys on the back nine. Kuchar ended the day at even-par 72.
In round four, Kuchar had one birdie, but gave it back with a triple bogey on twelve. The rest of Kuchar’s day consists of pars. However, he kept grinding through his round to finish the tournament with a 4-over par 292. The finish earned him $10,350.
Kuchar had an incredible 2008 campaign including reaching new milestones in his career. He earned a career-high $1,447,638 on the year, almost double his total earnings from 2007. He finished 115th in the PGA Tour's FedEx Cup standings, and currently sits in 67th on the PGA Tour's official Money List. Kuchar is scheduled to take some off before beginning the 2009 PGA Tour season in Hawaii with high expectations for the year.
